When former mob thug turned doctor, John Cesari,
takes a job as a gastroenterologist at a small

Things go awry one night at a bar when he
punches out an obnoxious drunk who won’t leave

Over the course of several action packed days,
Cesari uncovers the dirty little secrets of a small
town hospital. As the bodies pile up, he is forced
to confront his own bloody past.

About the Author
John Avanzato grew up in the Bronx. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology from Fordham University, he went on to earn his medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo, School of Medicine. He is currently a board certified gastroenterologist in Geneva, New York, where he lives with his wife of twenty-five years. Inspired by authors like Tom Clancy, John Grisham, and Lee Child, John writes about strong but flawed heroes. He is currently working on Prescription for Disaster, the sequel to Hostile Hospital.
